Pan Americana

The Pan Americana newsletter provides information on some of the recent events at the school. It includes items such as student spotlight, faculty spotlight, student profiles, scholarship profile, and much more. The newsletter is published quarterly.

July 2009
The class of 2009: Valedictorian—Laura Escamilla & Salutatorian—Daniel Villarreal, and the Patrick H. Robertson in the Faculty Spotlight.

April 2009
A tribute to Elena Reisner. Alum Spotlight—Barbara Acosta "...I got to know the heart of Pan Am—its people." Rozo.Youth group donates to three charities.

February 2009
23 Eagles earn Pan Am's fourth State Soccer Championship. The Dr. Jorge-Lara Braud Scholarship will be awarded to a qualifying Senior.

October 2008
Look at their first year experience at Pan Am for Meaghan Pesqueira, Christian Ortiz and Rodrigo Palmas.
Alumni reunited after 30 years apart, Paul Morales & Norma Gutierrez de Morales, got married on July 12, 2008.

June 2008
2008 Graduation—thirty-six PPAS students graduate.
Two employees retire after 18 & 30 years of service, Rita Gonzalez and Roberto Moreno.

March 2008
4-H Program places at the 57th annual Kleberg-Kennedy Junior Livestock show.
After 48 years of service, Olivia Maldonado retires.

Eagle X-Press

The Eagle X-Press is written by the Newspaper class and is published eight times a year. Copies are made available for all members of the PPAS campus, and copies are included with the publication of the local newspaper—The Kingsville Record.

February 24, 2010
Students participate in the Annual Livestock Show. Students placed 1st and 2nd in the annual Soil and Water Conservation Essay Contest. Twenty-six students attended Mo Ranch Conference Center leadership conference. PPAS student places 2nd in the "4 Way Speech Test" sponsored by the Rotary Club of Kingsville.

January 31, 2010
PPAS collects money for Haiti relief. The boys basketball beats Academy JV team. Track & Field team members prepare for their first meet on February 20, 2010. Students honor Martin Luther King Jr. Students host a welcome back dance.

December 9, 2009
PPAS sends stockings to soldiers. Four soccer players are named All-District. Celebrating Christmas with different cultures. The Choir traveled to Fort Worth for three performances. Junior class organizes a campaign for Toys for Tots.

November 25, 2009
The Soccer team wins TAPPS state championship for the third year in a row. Nine students nominated for the Corpus Christi Caller Times distinguished scholars. Students and staff participated in the annual Red Ribbon Week campaign.

October 14 , 2009
PPAS hosts its first annual Fall Festival and Alumni Class Reunion. Students participate in Kingsville's 2nd Annual Downtown Art walk Festival. Four students advance to regional choir competition.
