Women of the Church Scholarship
Would you like to help a young female student with her Pan Am education? Ask your PW group. Women's Sunday School group, or any of your church's women's groups to support the PPAS Women of the Church Scholarship. The Women of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas, Texas hosted a "Mad Hatter's Tea" in April 2018, raising $11,650 for this fund! We welcome the opportunity to partner with your Women's group to do something similar.
This scholarship is awarded each year to a returning female student who meets the following criteria:
Active in Campus Ministry
Committed to faith development
Diligent in her academic studies
Dedicated to mentoring and helping other students
A committee of women from different Presbyterian Churches selects the female recipient each year. They also work with the women's groups who support this scholarship to ensure that they receive a picture and bio of the scholarship recipient, along with a hand-written thank you note from the student. And, your group will have the opportunity to stay in touch with the student through mail and email.
