Philosophy

Presbyterian Pan American School’s Athletic department strives to develop within each student-athlete the individual and team skills necessary to compete successfully and reach their God given potential.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. - Philippians 4:13

We recognize that each individual is a unique creation of God, therefore, we provide all student-athletes an opportunity to participate with our “no-cut” policy.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future. - Jeremiah 29:11

We hope to develop within each student-athlete a strong team spirit and loyalty to the school and community.
And if a man prevail against him that is alone, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. - Ecclesiastes 4:12

We teach good sportsmanship and provide opportunities for student-athletes which encourage self-confidence, sociability, initiative, and a feeling of belonging.
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. - 1 Thesselonians 5:11

We expect our student-athletes to meet high standards of conduct, performance and commitment.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. - Colossians 3:23

We believe in competing to win, but winning should not overshadow the spiritual and educational goals of Presbyterian Pan American School. Similarly, if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor’s crown unless he competes according to the rules. - 2 Timothy 2:5

We strive to develop our student-athletes in their Christian character.
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. - 1 Corinthians 15:57

We believe that our athletic program helps to prepare student-athletes to live out their faith as servant leaders of society.
From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. - Luke 12:48
