Mrs. Diane Garcia

Hello, it is a great pleasure to welcome you and tell you a little about me, myself and I.

Me
I am from California, I moved to Texas in 1993 along with my husband (a native Texan) and our three children. At present I am a resident of the city of Kingsville where I reside on the campus of Presbyterian Pan American School with my husband, Mr. Albert Garcia and our dog, Ember.

Myself
I enjoy reading, theater, movies, all types of music (even Chinese opera), and attempting to be creative with various projects around the house and in the classroom.

I
I am the school librarian and English IV teacher here at the PPAS campus.  While these are my primary jobs, I also serve as the Language Arts Department Chairperson, Lead Teacher, and the Online Classes Administrator/Lead Teacher, as well as, the Accelerated Reading (AR) Program Administrator. Since 1998 I have worked as the school librarian; it is my pleasure and enjoyment to assist faculty and students explore and locate materials or information they might need for reading, research or personal enjoyment. In 2006 I became the English IV teacher, and I helped establish our required Reading I & II courses and the now ubiquitous Summer/Winter Holiday Reading. English IV is the course where I encourage our seniors to fine-tune and polish their English reading, writing and speaking skills in order to prepare and sustain a high academic level in university.

I encourage you to either visit my classroom--in the school library--or contact me by email should you have any questions.
