After a morning of Terra Nova testing, our students were treated to an entertaining play performed by students in Mr. Saenz’s theater arts class, where the “toys” in the play came to life. This was their first performance as a class, and they did an amazing job!

Athletes from winter and spring sports were recognized during a special pep rally on Monday, February 27. The cheerleaders did an awesome job with their cheers, dances, and stunts. The seniors won the spirit competition, and the freshmen won the money game.

Representatives from the school will be at the La Quinta Inn & Suites at the Convention Center in McAllen (801 S. Ware Rd.) on Saturday, February 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for prospective students and their families to learn more about Pan Am!

Thirty-five students from Pan Am enjoyed a leadership development weekend at Mo Ranch February 17-19. We give thanks to the Mo Ranch staff for making this weekend possible and for graciously hosting our students and staff.

Eleven of our Eagles 4-H students are showing lambs on Thursday, February 2, at the Kleberg-Kenedy County Junior Livestock Show. Good luck to all of these hard-working students!

Our students celebrated Christmas a little early on Saturday, December 3, since they will all be home for the holidays. The student-led worship service of scripture lessons, carols, and candlelight was a truly beautiful remembrance of Christ's birth. This was followed by a fun Christmas party, where the students exchanged gifts with one another.

Twenty-six new members were inducted into the John A. Mackay Chapter of the National Honor Society on Friday, December 2, 2016. These students were selected by their teachers as those who most uphold the ideals of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Congratulations to these outstanding students!

Congratulations to our drama students and theater arts teacher, Rick Saenz, for being named STATE CHAMPIONS (Division 3) for their performance of the play, “Bocón,” by Lisa Loomer at the TAPPS State One Act Play competition in Kerrville on November 19. All-Star cast awards were given to Jesus Perez, Beatriz Ortiz, Fabiola Saldana and Fernando Ruiz. Congratulations, Eagles!

Our drama students will be performing in the State One-Act Play competition at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, at the Cailloux Theater (910 Main St.) in Kerrville, Texas. If you are in the Kerrville area, please go out and support our students. Break a leg, Eagles!
