Red Ribbon Week

The Presbyterian Pan American School will begin our annual Red Ribbon Week on Monday October 31st this year.

Red Ribbon Week began in 1985 as a result of the outrage of parents over the loss of the life of a DEA Agent Enrique Camarena. Parents began wearing red ribbons as a symbol of their commitment to raise awareness of the dangers and destruction that drugs have on communities within the United States.

Red Ribbon Week serves as a tool to help mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage their participation in drug prevention activities, and we encourage our students and staff to participate and educate on how these illicit substances can affect themselves and their communities.
