Homecoming Pep Rally 10/18/17

Spirit was on full display at the Homecoming pep rally on October 18. The cheerleaders did an amazing job putting everything together, and performing for our students. The fall sports teams were recognized, and the juniors received bragging rights for winning the spirit competition.

Choir Visits New Braunfels Presbyterian Church - October 15, 2017

The Morris Chapel Choir helped lead worship at New Braunfels Presbyterian Church on Sunday, October 15. Thanks to Mr. Joe Garcia for directing the choir and to Miel Lee who served as the accompanist. We are also grateful to Nadine Karabaranga for giving the Minute for Mission and sharing her journey of faith. And thanks to Yae Won Choi for contributing two violin solos.

International Banquet 9/29/17

Students, staff, and guests gathered at the annual International Banquet to celebrate their heritage and learn about the cultural traditions of others. It was a wonderful evening filled with great food and entertainment from the various countries represented by our students.

Playing for a Cause - Volleyball Game Promotes Childhood Cancer Awareness

Our girls’ volleyball team was on the court Monday hosting Mission Juan Diego Academy, but they were serving up a bigger cause. They used the game as an opportunity to bring awareness to childhood cancer. Girls made posters to adorn the walls of the gymnasium walls, and donations were accepted in lieu of an admission ticket. All proceeds will benefit Brooke’s Blossoming Hope Foundation - inspired by a local girl, Brooke Hester, who lost her battle with stage IV Neuroblastoma cancer in 2015. Great job, Lady Eagles and Coach Cantu!

Recent PPAS Graduate's Artwork Selected for National School Lunch Week Poster Campaign

One of our former student’s artwork was selected as the overall winner among all entries for middle and high school students in the National School Lunch Week (NSLW) “You Art What You Eat” art contest. Recent PPAS graduate, Marianeé Canales (Class of 2017) submitted her “Rock the Day” artwork in the contest last spring, and it became the inspiration for the three posters that are currently being delivered to EVERY middle and high school campus across Texas for NSLW, October 9-13, 2017! Marianeé’s artwork will also be displayed at the Texas State Capitol in March 2018. (Marianeé is currently continuing her studies at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.) What a great accomplishment – Congratulations, Marianeé!

Classes Canceled for Friday, August 25

With the uncertainty surrounding Tropical Storm Harvey, we have made the decision to cancel classes on Friday, August 25. Students will be allowed to go home at 3:15 after classes on Thursday, but this is not mandatory. Students must return to campus before 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. Please be assured that our staff is prepared and trained to handle these weather conditions, and we will take every precaution to ensure that your child is safe. Our school offices will also be closed on Friday. If you have any questions, please call the main office 361- 592-4307. ext. 1000.

Community "Splash" Event - 8/12/17

This school year began with a splash! On Saturday, August 12, the Campus Ministry Council hosted the annual Community "Splash” event. Even though the temperatures reached 100 degrees, students stayed cool with various water games and had fun welcoming everyone into the Pan Am family.

Campus Ministry and Dual Credit Students Return to Campus 7/24/17

Students from Campus Ministry Council and students who will be taking dual credit courses at Texas A&M University-Kingsville and Coastal Bend College this year returned to campus to plan for the upcoming school year and to assist with orientation for the newest students who will be arriving on July 29. We are proud of these young Christian leaders as they work long hours to prepare everything for students they do not even know yet. This attitude of service is something we strive to build in all of our students, and we are grateful for their hard work.
