Her father, Ruben Arjona, and her mother, Sara Avila, met when they were students at Pan Am in the 1990s. Despite this enthusiasm, the New Jersey-born, Colorado resident was nervous when she arrived as a freshman. “I was very shy,” Camila recalls. “I didn’t really talk to anyone, and I had trouble making friends at first. Being at Pan Am, and living with everyone leadership in CMC and her strong faith that won her the Rev. Isaac Santiago de Lugo award this year. It is presented at graduation each year to a returning student who best exemplifies growth in the knowledge of Biblical Studies.  “I don’t quite know what I’m going to do after I graduate yet,” says the returning Senior. “But I do know that whatever I do, I’ll succeed because I’m bilingual, and I’ll have this great Pan Am experience and education.” has brought me out of my shell. I am much more confident.” Camila now serves as a Student Ambassador, is a member of National Honor Society, takes Dual Credit courses at Texas A&M University, Kingsville, sings in our Morris Chapel Choir, and is a member of Campus Ministry Council (CMC).
